To work out how many crystals an area needs, multiply the area by the density you have in mind: crystals = area_cm2 × density. Most decorative work sits somewhere between 20 to 50 crystals per 100 cm². Do hotfix crystals withstand washing? They do, as long as you applied them at the right temperature and pressure. Expect 20–30 gentle washes if you turn the garment inside out and skip the harsh fabric softeners.
