Information about a Unicode character
Every letter, symbol or emoji carries a technical identity in Unicode. This tool opens up everything about a specific character: its code in decimal and hexadecimal, the HTML entity, the official name and a few other details.
If you write code and need the code point ready to drop in, this helps a lot. It also works for making sense of that odd character that turned up in some text, or for tracking down a symbol's correct HTML entity. Rather than analysing a whole text, the idea here is to dig deep into one single character.
The analysis runs entirely in the browser, and nothing leaves it. Paste or type the character to see all its technical information.
