CIELab e CIELCh

O CIELab descreve a cor por luminosidade (L) e dois eixos: a (verde–vermelho) e b (azul–amarelo). O CIELCh converte (a, b) para coordenadas polares — croma C (saturação) e matiz h (ângulo) — o que torna muito mais intuitivo aumentar a saturação ou girar o tom.
