CPC and CPA Calculator
Compute CPC (Cost per Click) and CPA (Cost per Acquisition) from spend, clicks and conversions. Ideal for Google/Meta/TikTok Ads. Everything in your browser.
CPC and CPA: cost per click and per acquisition
CPC (Cost Per Click) is = total spend / clicks, while CPA (Cost Per Acquisition) is = total spend / acquisitions, where an acquisition might be a purchase, a lead or a sign-up. Both live on the same funnel, impression → click (CTR) → conversion (CVR), and the relationship CPA = CPC / CVR ties them together. Say your CPC is R$ 2.50 and your CVR is 5%; that works out to CPA = R$ 50. To bring the CPA down you typically either fix the landing page so the CVR climbs, or hunt for clicks that are cheaper and better qualified.
Applications and benchmarks
These are the bread-and-butter metrics inside Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager and any performance marketing or growth setup. You use them to decide how budget gets split across channels and to compare creatives in A/B tests. In Brazil during 2024, CPCs ran roughly R$ 1-5 on Google Search for low-competition niches and R$ 30+ once you got into lawyers and insurance; Meta tended to sit at R$ 0.50-3, and LinkedIn at R$ 5-25.
FAQ
Is CPC or CPA more important? CPA, because it connects your spend to real revenue. A bargain CPC that never converts is just burned budget.
How does CPA relate to CAC? CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost) casts a wider net, folding in sales effort, tooling and salaries. CPA, by contrast, usually looks only at what you spent on paid media.
What is target CPA? It's a bidding strategy on Google and Meta: you tell the platform the CPA you're aiming for and the algorithm adjusts your bids to land on it.

Calculate your ads' CPC and CPA
In paid traffic, two metrics reveal whether the money is working. CPC is cost per click. CPA is cost per acquisition, or per conversion. Here you reach both from the campaign's spend, the click count and the conversion count.
CPC shows you how much you pay to bring people to the site. CPA, on the other hand, shows what each customer or sale truly costs, the number that really weighs on return. Anyone running campaigns on Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads or any performance platform needs both at hand.
The calculation happens in the browser and nothing gets saved. Put campaigns and channels side by side to see where your ad spend pays off most.
