Sobre a notação Q
A notação Q descreve ponto fixo pelo número de bits fracionários: em Q8.8 (ou simplesmente Q8) há 8 bits após a vírgula, então o valor real é o inteiro armazenado dividido por 2⁸ = 256. Converter 1,5 para Q8 dá o inteiro 384 (1,5 × 256). É amplamente usado em DSP, áudio e microcontroladores sem unidade de ponto flutuante.
