O que é metadata de SP SAML?

O arquivo de SP metadata descreve como o Service Provider (sua aplicação) participa de uma federação SAML 2.0: qual o entityID, para onde o IdP envia a SAML Response (AssertionConsumerService), qual certificado usar para validar assinaturas (KeyDescriptor) e qual o endpoint de logout (SingleLogoutService). Você gera este XML e envia para o IdP (Okta, Azure AD, Google Workspace, Keycloak) onde ele é registrado como SP confiável.
