As cores que vemos em telas são codificadas em sRGB, com uma curva de gama que aproveita melhor os bits nas regiões escuras. Para cálculos de iluminação e mistura corretos, é preciso linearizar (remover a gama), operar, e depois reaplicar a gama. Um cinza 50% sRGB equivale a ~0,21 linear.
