How is vacation pay calculated under CLT?
The employee is entitled to 30 days of paid vacation after each accrual period (12 months of work). The vacation pay equals the monthly salary plus 1/3 constitutional bonus (art. 7, XVII of the Brazilian Constitution).
The employee may convert up to 1/3 of the days into a cash bonus, receiving 10 days in cash and taking only 20 days off.
INSS and IRRF taxes apply to vacation pay + 1/3, but not to the cash bonus.
