Work Shift Schedule Generator (12x36, 6x1, 5x2)

Anyone who builds an on-call roster knows where the arithmetic slips: in a 12x36 pattern the rest period is 36 hours, so the shift walks around the clock and the person starting at seven today starts at nineteen tomorrow. Drawing that by hand for a team of six across a month is exactly where you end up with days nobody covers and days everybody does. Enter the names, pick the pattern, and the calendar comes out ready.

The patterns go beyond on-call work: 12x36, 24x48 and 24x72 for rotating shifts, plus 6x1, 5x2, 4x2 and 5x1 for weekly schedules, and a custom mode where you set how many days on and how many off. Staggering spreads each person's starting point across the cycle so the whole team does not land on the same shift. Output comes as CSV and as a calendar file that imports straight into Google Calendar or Outlook.

Two things are worth checking before you publish. The first is the start date: moving it rotates who draws which shift, and that is how you even out who works the holiday. The second is holiday marking, which only flags those dates on the grid and does not decide for you who gets the day off. Everything is generated in the browser, so the team's names never leave your machine.
