AOV (Average Order Value) is total revenue divided by number of orders: AOV = revenue / orders. Say you pulled R$ 50,000 from 320 orders. Your AOV is R$ 156.25. What counts as normal depends heavily on what you sell. In Brazilian e-commerce, fashion tends to sit around R$ 200–400, electronics anywhere from R$ 500 to R$ 2,000, and food delivery down at R$ 50–100. If you want to push AOV up, the usual moves are cross-sell, upsell, product bundles, and a free-shipping threshold set just above where your AOV already is. One caveat: with a small number of orders, AOV gets jerked around by outliers. A single B2B order can drag the whole average somewhere it doesn't belong, which is why people often look at the median order value alongside it.
Applications
This is a core KPI for e-commerce growth teams. It frames the basic strategic choice of whether to chase more traffic or wring more out of each order, and it tells you where to set free-shipping thresholds. It also feeds customer segmentation, since clustering by AOV pulls apart high-value buyers from impulse ones. Put it together with conversion rate and frequency and you've got revenue per visitor.

The mean radius is the EFFECTIVE radius at which the resultant friction force is taken to act for torque calculation (T = μ·F·N·r_m). There are two classic assumptions for this radius: UNIFORM WEAR (assuming the disc has 'bedded in' and wears evenly, concentrating pressure at the inner radius; gives r_m = (D+d)/4, the simple mean of radii) and UNIFORM PRESSURE (new disc, constant pressure; gives r_m = (2/3)·(D³−d³)/(D²−d²), slightly larger). Uniform wear is most used in DESIGN, being conservative (slightly lower torque) and representing the run-in steady state. The mean radius shows an interesting design point: discs with a narrow friction annulus (D close to d, thin ring at large radius) have a high mean radius, transmitting more torque per unit force — so high-performance disc brakes use calipers acting near the disc edge (large radius).
