Does trimming the ends make hair grow faster? No. Growth comes from the follicle down in the scalp, never the tip. A trim just clears split ends, so the length you see looks healthier rather than longer.

Why does my hair seem to stop at a certain length? Your anagen phase has a genetic ceiling. Once it runs out, the strand falls and a shorter new one takes its place. For most people that terminal length tops out somewhere between 60 and 90 cm.
