From high card to royal flush, settled fast
End of a hand at a home game and nobody agrees: does two pair beat three of a kind? Is that actually a straight? Type the 5 cards on this page and the classification shows up immediately, across the 10 official poker hand categories, from high card to royal flush. Evaluation happens as you type, right in your browser, with nothing sent to any server. It works as a quick referee to end the argument.
The notation is standard poker shorthand: rank followed by a suit letter. Use A, K, Q, J, and T for ten (write TS for the ten of spades; '10S' is rejected), with S, H, D, C for spades, hearts, diamonds, and clubs. The classic trap is covered: A-2-3-4-5 counts as the lowest straight, with the ace playing low. Wrap-around runs like Q-K-A-2-3, on the other hand, do not exist in poker, and the tool correctly calls them high card.
Know the limits: the tool evaluates exactly 5 cards, so for Texas Hold'em (7 cards available) you pick the best 5-card combination yourself, or test more than one. It also does not check for duplicate cards: entering AS twice slips through and produces a meaningless result. And it does not compare two hands or break ties by kicker; the output is just the category name. Handy for rulebook arguments, not a substitute for an equity calculator.
