Block-fitting puzzle (1010! style)
Anyone who has played 1010! will recognise the mechanic of this block puzzle: simple in appearance, deep in practice. You fit pieces onto a 10×10 grid to complete rows and columns, which vanish the moment they fill up. And unlike Tetris, the pieces don't fall. You place each one at your own pace.
The weight sits on the planning. With no countdown, every move becomes a decision about space, and the game only ends when none of the available pieces fits the board any more. Thinking a few moves ahead is what separates a short round from a high score. Your best result is saved.
